Program Overview

New Connections Therapeutic Mentoring Program (NCTMP) provides therapeutic mentoring services to children and adolescents in New Haven County, ages 4 to 18. Due to the differing developmental needs of the mentees, New Connections is divided into two sub- programs: Early Childhood Program (ages 4-7) and Child and Adolescent Program (ages 8-18).

NCTMP is a year-long program, during which time mentees participate in one-on-one and group mentoring activities, depending on their needs and goals. Upon graduation from the program, mentees are provided with several follow-up options, such as participation in a peer mentoring program, where they are trained to serve as peer mentors in the community.
